Walnut Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
This easy-to-make banana bread yields one delicious loaf and is perfect
for a cozy treat.
Ingredients
- 3/8 cup (6 tablespoons) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2-3 over-ripe bananas, depending on size
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Procedure

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment
paper, or grease and flour it.
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and mix until fully combined.

Mix in the bananas (whole if using a mixer; mash first if mixing by
hand).

Add the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg, stirring just until
combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes, or
until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
